Jai Nepal Party Launch

Dhawal Shamsher Rana registered the Jai Nepal Party at the Election Commission in Kathmandu with 79 central members. The party chose a triangle as its election symbol and split from Prasai over power-sharing disagreements.

Prasai and Rana were reported to be forming separate parties after failing to agree on a joint launch. Rana was moving ahead with Jai Nepal Party registration, while Prasai said his own party would be announced soon.

Rana said the Jai Nepal Party registration would proceed on Shrawan 29 even without Prasai’s consent. Prasai said he would form a separate party, deepening the split over the new monarchist force.

The proposed Jai Nepal Party said it would register with the Election Commission on Shrawan 28. It named Durga Prasai as supreme leader and Dhawal Shamsher Rana as chairman, with nationalism as its main agenda.

Dhawal Shamsher Rana and Durga Prasai said they would leave the Rastriya Prajatantra Party to form a new political party. They said the party would promote constitutional monarchy and the Hindu nation agenda.
