AI Governance Push

The United States and China agreed to set up a communication channel for AI-related incidents after summit talks in Washington. They also launched a U.S.-China Super Intelligence Dialogue to discuss AI risks and benefits and said they would exchange views by November.

Executives from OpenAI, Anthropic and Hugging Face were set to brief the UN Security Council on risks from advanced AI systems slipping beyond human control. The meeting was part of a broader push for global safeguards and tighter oversight.
