Irrigation Boosts Farmer Hopes in Kanchanpur

Key Points

• A deep tube well has been installed in Pragati Tole, Shukla Phanta Municipality-10, Kanchanpur, benefiting local farmers with improved irrigation.
• The project was funded with over Rs 2.5 million through the Sudurpashchim Province Government's initiative and the parliamentary development fund of Minister Bahadur Singh Mahara.
• More than 50 farmers in the area will directly benefit, enabling expansion of food crops, vegetables, and cash crops in previously fallow fields.
• Some infrastructure work, such as pipeline expansion for water distribution, remains incomplete and is being requested for budget allocation.
